BMW has announced the pricing structure and model line-up for its new 2005 1 Series Models (new models bmw 120i, bmw 120d and bmw 130i, bmw 130d). The only rear-wheel drive vehicle in its class, this will start at 22,690$ on the road and be available with a choice of four engines and three spec levels.

BMW is producing for the very first time a compact class automobile - the BMW 1 Series with five doors and a length of 4.23 metres, making this new model series 24 centimetres shorter than a 3 Series saloon.
